Calling all IIM Bangalore EPGP Applicants: 2018 Intake (Class of 2019)

Has anyone got an interview call from IIMB.

Unfortunately I am not shortlisted for interview.

I believe I am also not selected. I have a GMAT score of 700 and WE in FMCG Industry.

Is everyone getting the message in the image, who are not selected?

yes man, thats what i got too. too disappointed ..had high hopes for IIM B.

I guess, anyone, who has >=10 years exp. is not called for interview.

mltr2018 . I am inclined to think so. I have just touched 10 years experience level.
May be the college thought that there is nothing that it can add to higher experienced profiles.

I have 5 years experience but still didn't get a call so 10 years criteria might not be true.

Is there anyone who got a call for interview. If yes, please share your profile such as GMAT score, experience etc.

Those who are not shortlisted I am sure other colleges are waiting for you. Based on my knowledge IIM B EPGP is focusing on applicants with 5-10 yrs exp. Infact they are more interested with folks having <7 yrs exp. I think they now want to target ISB target group of applicants with 5-7 years. Applicant who have IT background are generally demanded higher exp(7-8) where as those who have other background are required less (manufacturing, finance, merchant navy, consulting etc).

Also they are quite strict on GMAT as well. Last Year batch range was 680-780. Hope this helps.

I got short-listed. Work Exp 5.5 years(5 years international), GMAT- 730.

I also got shortlisted...have my interview at Kolkata on 24th Sep.

How much is your WE and which industry are you working in?

Fingers crossed......Too much of competition.

I will have a WE of 7 years 8 months as of 31st Mar 2018.

that doesn't make sense, as there are some to many folks with ~5 years work ex who got calls...

Really looks like IIMB EPGP doesn't prefer candidates with higher work ex (9+)...
I think this trend started just last year as prior to that folks with 10+ work exp were selected
I also read a Quora post regarding some one who got into IIMA & ISB & not IIMB

If this is indeed true, sorry to say, IIMB application is not holistic and sucks for an applicant

Profile evaluation-Indian male GMAT 680,Total exp-8 years in Indian PSU.

I need some guidance regarding my chances in IIM B.
GMAT:680 Q 49, V 34
GPA:3.1 Electrical Engg
Exp:8years in Indian Maharatna PSU NTPC

Achievements:
Was part of the team that completed erection and commissioning of steam turbine in record time of 13months,a project worth INR 450 cr

Formulated a plan to stop barring stalling in turbine leading to annual saving of over 150 cr annually.

Other than my work life i also engage in csr activities of ntpc ,participating in education and swachh bharat abhiyan.

I am planning to start my mba at the earliest so is my profile ok or should i go for a better gmat score.

Good profile. However you can really help your cause by bumping your GMAT score by 20 points. This is particularly important for IIM B. Also if targeting US schools I would highly recommend you bump up the score by 20-30 points to give yourself shot at top 20 schools. You need to target top 20 to justify your experience and investment. Just my opinion. Good Luck!
