If 4,5qD + 8,737 = 13,qD3, where q and D are distinct digits, what is the value of D – q?

Plug in values.
45qD + 8737 = 13qD3
So here the units didgit is 3.. 7+ x should be 3.. now x should be 6 so that 7+6 is 13.. no another number is gonna satisfy.
->D=6 we got from above
Next is id D=6 then 13... 3 will be in units place and 1 will be carried out to hundred's place.
In hundred's place you should get value D (13qD3).. means you should get 6 (we got from above)
->already 3 is there (8737) +1 is carry forwarded (from 13) . so we need to extra 2 to satisfy 6. This means q should be 2
->q=2.
Now D-q = 6-2 =4
Answer is 4 alias B..
