Sqrt of 20 which approximates to 2 x Sqrt of 5 and then I was stuck approximating Sqrt of 5.
I tried 50 =approx = 49 = 7x7 just to realise that it does not help given that there is only one 0 in 50.
So I approximated sqrt of 500 to 22 which implies sqrt of 5 is around 2.2.
So 2x2.2 =approx 4.4. Ans C?

But I could have been cleverer by realising that the answer being 2 x sqrt of 5 and hesitating between C and D, answer D leads to sqrt of 5 = 2.5 which cannot be true given that 25x25=625 and 625 is way greater than 500. By elimination then ans C?

Area of square = $$side^2$$ = 20
Side = $$\sqrt{20}$$
$$\sqrt{20}$$ must be between 4 and 5 since $$4^2$$=16 and $$5^2$$=25
