Male = 120 ; engr ; 30
Female= 100 ; engr; 20
--------- Engr------Pass-----fail----
male----- 30-------6-------24
female----20------5--------15
total------50------11-------39
total pass % of engr. 11/50 * 100 = 22%

0.25 x 120 = 30 male engineering students.

0.2 x 100 = 20 female engineering students.

0.2 x 30 = 6 male students passed, and 0.25 x 20 = 5 female students passed.

The percentage of engineering students who passed the exam was 11/50 = 22/100 = 22%.

Answer: D
