Hi, I am interested in applying for INSEAD MiM next year. I could not fill the contact form on INSEAD's website, I just sent a couple of sentences as I could not write anything more. May I ask here? I am new to this forum so I am a bit lost. I have 2 questions:


1. Regarding the English language, I would like to know if I should take an English test, given my current situation. I took the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) three years ago. I am currently enrolled in the fully English taught program at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Considering these, should I retake and English test, or am I fine? According to your website information, Cambridge tests have unlimited validity, but I would like to be sure about that.

2. Does the fact that I am currently enrolled in a master's have any influence on my chances to get admission into INSEAD?

Hi LBB,

1. You can actually reach out to the INSEAD MiM team on if you need specific proficiency tests. Basically, it's a way for the current admissions committee to verify if you'd be able to take part in class discussions and academic course load. Since the MiM at INSEAD is a fairly new program, you should be able to reach out to them for a response. Also it's advisable to have test results from the past two years, though I'm not aware of the specific test that you have taken.

2. Short answer is no. How you structure the essays in your application and how your current masters program ties into your application story matters much more.

Hey there! I’m an incoming MIM student at INSEAD (2020 Intake). I’ve recently been admitted and I’m looking for a roommate/person to look for accommodation with. Is anyone interested in the same?

Is it worth going into INSEAD for MIM compared to other schools in europe and UK? Also what is the approximate GMAT score that they prefer for their MIM programme? Do they need English test scores as well? Also, I am an indian doctor female.

My interview was quite informal (tell me about yourself, why INSEAD) and my interviewer then shared his experience at INSEAD. We filled the remaining time talking about current events (COVID being one of them, obviously). It was about 45 minutes in total. PM if you have any other questions. Happy to chat.
