Hello!
I am planning to apply to HEC in round 1 for Jan'22 intake. Round 1 deadline is the 1st of January (I have all my application ready). What makes me doubt is basically that I will also apply for INSEAD, which has the round 1 for Jan'22 intake in March'21, so I am a bit scared that if I apply in round 1 for HEC and somehow get admitted, I would have to pay the 9k€ deposit to "reserve my spot", and if later on I get admitted into INSEAD, I would lose that money..
I am considering applying at HEC at round 3, so that both applications for HEC and INSEAD coincide and I do not need to make the 9k deposit and take the risk of losing it. However, it is also risky because it would be round 3 for HEC and would be probably a bit late.
What would you suggest?
I have already been admitted to IESE, which maybe could help making a decision regarding HEC/INSEAD and the deposit issue.. right now my preference among these 3 schools would be 1- INSEAD , 2- HEC, 3 - IESE

none of those are real schools, but my advice is to just pick the cheapest one since they are all equivalent
