Introducing GMAT Club Rewards (beta)

Hi bb,

I see that the tier status didn't change if a member redeemed some points.

If a member reachs 400 points, he or she gets gold tier and is eligible to redeem 100 points for 7 Veritas CAT.

However, if that member redeems 100 points for 7 Veritas CAT and the remaining point is 300, that member still gets gold tier.

In this case, is that member still eligible to redeem 100 points for 7 Veritas CAT again?

Hi bb, I think the reward system has some problems.

As the attached image below, I join the chat within 72 hours but still receive 2 points as 2 counts. It is supposed that I receive 1 point for 1 count only.

Thank you for finding it broall. We have had an update made to the Rewards system. Actually 2:

1. We have introduced a new reward (I will make a separate post about this, this week) - get 5 Kudos for a post within 30 days and get 5 points. This reward is currently not limited, but I would expect we will limit it a certain number of times per post if we see that the reward is not properly motivating user behavior.

2. We have switched the "cool down" period for rewards from being on a 24 hour cycle to being "once-a-day" cycle that resets at 6 AM PST, so from now on, you could make a post at 5 AM and get 1 point and then another post at 7 AM (Pacific US Time) and get 1 more point. But you won't get further points until 6:01 AM the next day.

These two updates were final updates to the rewards system based on the Moderator Meeting a while ago.

Welcome any suggestions/ideas/comments.

Hi. I used my 30 points to redeem this book named "MBA Admission for Smarties e-Book" by Accepted. However, I have not received the book. Please let me know how to access the book?

You should get an email from Accepted within 24 hrs or so.

It's been 3-4 days my points aren't increasing even though I am solving questions with timer and writing answers to the questions.

i have few queries regarding reward points:

1. From past 2-3 days.. think from August 30th, i am not getting any reward point, with the fact that i am taking multiple timers, posting answers on forum and entering chat sessions as well.
2. Also can you please tell me how the 24 hour cycle work ? As per PST timing or the time at which i took timer the last time?
3. Also 1 badge related query : Top 10 PS/DS badge.. did we loose it once our ranking gets reduced ?


Can someone please help out with above issues.

You have only 9 kudos and those kudos is ineligible to earn more points to get to next tier. To get Silver tier, you need to have 25 kudos.

Oh so apart from points Kudos are also important to increase the final reward points.

I have posted lot of solutions on forum( for tough questions also). Hopefully i will get some kudos for them. Will wait.

its hard to earn kudos....as it depends on others.

I had not received any point for solving questions with timers and making post on 30th August 17.
I was away for couple of days but today also I am observing the same thing- got no point after solving a CR question with timer.
Request you to resolve the same and give me the pending points at the earliest.

You need at least 25 kudos to reach silver tier.

I redeemed for 1 month subscription of GCT but i see that 80 + 80 points were deducted . I may have clicked redeem button twice as there was no information that request was processed .
Could you please reverse the additional month GCT (80 points) that was subscribed ? .

Are you stuck at 99 pts? The terms changed back in April. To make that jump to Silver Status one needs to get 100 pts plus 25 kudos. Refer to this post for further details. https://gmatclub.com/forum/introducing-gmat-club-rewards-beta-231235.html

Also please explain , in rewards/Prizes to redeem section I can see "Trade for 1Kudos 10pts" , what is this and how can I redeem this?

I have been taking timers for last 10 days, after redeeming my points but there are no changes in my points even after taking more than 20 timers daily can you look inot this.

I checked your profile and found that you have reached the upper limit of Bronze Badge.

Now, your points will increase once you reach the next badge level, which is silver.

But the requirement for Silver is : 100 point + 25 kudos.

You still have to get 7 more kudos to be eligible for next level.

Does that make sense?
