Hey Diya,
Congratulations on a 720 ! Its a great score, and very well balanced. In fact, a score of 42 on Verbal is a fantastic signal of your abilities inspite of being a non-native speaker of English.
However, I must iterate that GMAT is just one leg of the entire journey to a premier B-school. While it places you comfortably in the stack, you may focus on the following to improve your chances:-
1. Introspect on why you want to do your MBA to come up with a compelling story. Your story must portray why you are fit for the MBA, what kind of value you bring to the class, and how it all fits in with you career tilll-date and your aspirations.
2. Create great Essays and SOP. Some schools also need a good resume.
3. Get impactful recommendations. Most B-schools prefer 1 recommendation each from your academics and professional sides.
4. Get in touch with alumni from your target B-schools to get an idea of the admission requirements, course structure, details of cohort etc. Candid conversations with alumni are very helpful.
5. Prepare for interviews.
Wish you good luck.

Cheers !

Hi Everyone,
I am an Indian Engineer Female. I gave the GMAT exam today and scored 720. (Q47 and V42). Is my score unbalanced? Will I be able to get into a consulting course at a top MBA B-school (at least within the top 50) with this quant score? I don't know if my GPA is relevant but I got an overall 7.53 out of 10. Any insight would be really helpful.
