R2 applicant - my application status has changed to incomplete because my recommenders are yet to submit their forms.

The admissions blog said they can wait until Jan 3rd for the recommendations. My recommenders have been really busy over the past 3-4 weeks due to year end activities. They have promised me that it will get done within this week.

Will it look bad because I am unable to manage my recommenders?

Thanks!

Waitlist. I'm a re-applicant and was in the same boat last year, hopefully I can make it through this time.

Congrats to all the admits!

Congrats to all of you that got admitted! I have been wait-listed but staying positive. 8-) I will work hard to improve my candidacy. For those of you in the same boat, I'm going on the Johnson wait-list forum. Hope to see you on there so that we can work together to get off this list and into the admitted bucket.

Thanks!

I'm wondering the same.

I read the blog that the deadline is january 3rd for recommendations so I decided to let my recommenders know that the deadline has been pushed back. I plan to get them in by end of next week.

However, my application status still says "Submitted" instead of "Incomplete". Any R2 applicants without change in status?

For those that got waitlisted, what did your letter say in regards to the relevant updates? Mine says, "We look forward to receiving updates such as improved test scores, transcripts from additional courses, details about career developments, or an additional recommendation letter." Just checking to see if those suggestions pertain only to me or if it's just a general letter sent to everyone on the waitlist.

Same! I believe it's a generic wait list letter and not specific to any candidate.

Got my first and much awaited admit of the season (AMBA) !!
I never got any call, so had assumed it was a ding. Moments of truth while opening the letter !! And then a big sigh of relief...

Profile --
Indian male working in the US
GMAT - 720 50 39
Work exp - 6.75 in Fin Tech
Quite Old (30 years old and a pregnant wife. My baby will be out when I would be fighting summer quarter) :)
Career goal - Strategy Consulting

Lesson learnt - Never give up in b-school game !! It's like poker.. sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

Congratulations to all those who got admitted and good luck to those who are wait-listed. Don't lose hope guys, work at it !! Be it GMAT, additional reco, networking with current students, paper presentation or attend some relevant conferences in your fields to show you are learning and growing. I am sure, you will make it.

Well, mine is a deny. So disapointed....

My profile,
G740, Q51, V38
PhD in chemistry, 13-yr work experience. Asia tech manager in a fortune 500.

But my interview was very bad. I got the interview invite when I was in New York City for vacation. Then I immediately drove to Ithaca without any preparation, and in jeans. I felt very bad when I left the intervew.

This is the only school I applied.

However I have a Sloan Fellows offer. I applied last year and paid $10,000 deposit but I did not go due to finance consideration. Then I have been counting on Johnson to offer me with scholarship. However Sloan Fellows said I could still go.

..... well, very bad.
