Can someone please help me with this question? A retail seller of handmade rugs has decided that it makes more economic sense to switch from purchasing rugs from a supplier in Kuwait to several others that are located in Greece. Not only is it less expensive for her to buy rugs of comparable quality from the Greek suppliers, the shipping costs to her store in England are considerably less.

Which of the following, if true, most strengthens the decision made by the retail seller?

(A) The stock of rugs available to the seller in Greece is slightly larger than the stock available in Kuwait.
(B) Most of the seller’s customers prefer to know the source of the rugs they purchase.
(C) The seller profitably sold rugs from Greece during a time when it was difficult to buy any goods from Kuwait.
(D) Each of the Greek suppliers know that the others are also selling rugs to the seller.
(E) The Kuwaiti supplier has promised to discount the cost of the rugs if the seller agrees to increase the number of purchases she makes each year by 20%.

Well, the answer is A and I don’t understand how. A and C both are strong options to me, any idea on how to tackle a question like this?

We know that it makes economical sense to purchase rugs from Greece than Kuwait....but what if Greece is short on the quantity? Low on price but short on quantity? In that case, sticking to the Kuwaiti seller makes more sense. Option A eliminates such queries and makes sure Greece also has enough stock for the seller to sell.....Option C is just a historical fact. Something that happened in the past....and from whatever data we have, there is no guarantee that it will continue in the present too.

The usual combinations I have seen on the official mocks and the actual GMAT are :

10 RC Questions - (4 + 3 + 3) questions per passage
13 RC Questions - (4 + 3 + 3 + 3) questions per passage
14 RC Questions - (4 + 4 + 3 + 3) questions per passage

where, passage with 4 questions is the lengthy one and the one with 3 questions is the short one.
so mine had 16, definitely way more than usual- guess its just a gmat club mock thing. thanks for the detailed info!

E. In any given set of people, two different subsets can support the same idea for extraneous reasons.

Even it’s true that only 2 of 10 summer residents benefit from the bill, i) there was no explicit data which stated that PRs oppose the bill. It could be that 2 loud summer residents and 7 / 10 quiet PRs support the bill.

ii) Wealth wasn’t stated as relevant to the bill’s content. So it can’t be A.

But it seems I’m wrong tho, so lol, nvm
