How do you know you are waitlisted? It says so on your application status update. The same way you know if you're admitted or dinged. I didn't know that at all!!! thought the final decision will be released on 18th. Just quickly checked my status, still "submitted". You're right, it will be released on the 18th. On the 18th you'll receive an email from Kellogg saying decisions have been released. Then you'll enter you account and find out if you're admitted, waitlisted, or dinged. I guess you misunderstood the conversation...

i thought last year calls didn't go out? i hope they call though (at least if i get in)

Last year, they called accepted applicants on the decision date. The decision emails then came to all applicants at a later time in the day (sometime in the afternoon if I remember right). As for this year, one of the previous forum posters called the admissions office and said that everyone would receive an email around 12:01 am on decision day, ahead of the calls. Other than that, I don't think we have any other clue as to how this year's decision day will pan out. Last year, there was even a system bug where people got emails preemptively.

yea i would hate for them to give calls before posting decisions especially since they said that would not happen this year ..... I don't think I will be looking at the forums tomorrow. Just waiting anxiously between 12 and 1 am for them to update the status... Good luck to all...
