CLOYou might consider doing a mock GRE from the
MGMAT site and see how that comes out; another option is the EA exam as CBS is now accepting it and it seems to be much easier (IMO, they are creating a back-door for interesting but statistically challenged candidates, because EA is not factored into rankings.) They said the prep for it is like 20 hours.

Hi TEAM!
Would love yo get your brains around the following situation:
-Have been working at Goldman Sachs IBD for 6 years, moving teams twice but not really loving the financial analysis world just stuck in there as i didn't know what to do/work on next
-Genuine interest in mentoring, coaching, meditations, recruiting, helping others from a leader perspective
-Thinking about doing an MBA but do not want to step two years out from the Professional World
-Managed to score a 640 GMAT while working at GS thousands of hours
-I am an Investor of two family run starts ups and currently involved in their operations
Do I really need an MBA from a top tier school to switch careers? Say to business development/headhunting etc. Would a local MBA from a less demanding place (in terms of GMAT) (such as IE) put under value my previous experience? Would a Top Tier US school take into account my profile with that GMAT score? I am a bit different from the 1k investment bankers who work at IBD and move to business school and then PE...and believe an mBA would help me personally and would clear my mind for next steps...
Not sure why it seems that in order to succeed or have public recognition you need to do GS + Harvard
thank you very much in advance
