Hi all,
I had to put it out there so that I would keep myself accountable. I want to start my journey here and will need YOUR help along the way....
Little about me...I am 31, I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2010 with a BoS in Organizational Management. My GPA was 2.82. Have not taken a GMAT. I work in Mortgage Banking, my position and whole department was recently created as a way to experiment and implement better ways how mortgages are being processed.
I'm looking to get into European MBA program (obvious big names is what I would like to get into INSEAD, IE, LBS, etc.), preferably an online program. You might ask why...I have a family and I can't go broke for some time. I need to work and study. I might consider a year without work to do a Full time MBA but nothing more.
I am a dual citizen of US and Poland and will be moving back to Poland sometime in 2017.
I tried applying to the University of Illinois iMBA but got rejected (to be honest I did not spend a lot of time on it and considered this school just becaue the tuition is low but they lack access to resources like career services, etc.)
Now I want to ask you for help...In the meantime I am considering couple things... a certificate from Wharton or HBX CORe just to see how would I do in this environment or go back to UofI and enroll in one for credit class, or should I focus on getting my GMAT first and then apply to an MBA program or try applying without the GMAT? ( I have to say that I am really freaked out thinking about studying for a test that might have an outcome on my professional life).
Thank for all your input
Mike
