Hello guys,
After more than two months of hard work to improve my quant skill I decided to take a test (gmatclub test) and I scored a poor Q37, which is even lower than my first attempt more than 2 months ago, where I scored a Q38 with almost 0 preparation...
The 22th of July I passed my first mock test on the
Manhattan Gmat prep CAT and scored a Q38 V28 after that I have worked on my quant skill everyday ... How is this even possible to score lower than my first attempt ?!
I am totally lost, confused and super disappointed, I worked hard on all the concept topic by topic, sub-area by sub-area, my accuracy was okay (> 80%). But during the test I don't know what happened, time pressure maybe, I don't know but I couldn't think properly and ended up making mistake again and again, I spent way too much time on word problem questions, picking the wrong answer at the end...
My goal is to score a Q48 - Q49 (to score a 700/800) but it seems delusional right now ...
Maybe Q38 is the best I can do ? Is it possible that some people can't score higher than a certain score ?
I am about to give up guys... Maybe this is not for me
Is it possible for me to improve from a Q37-38 to a Q48 ?
Did this happen to someone else ? If yes what did you do to overcome this ?
I am super confused and sad right now...
Additional info about my learning journey :
I learned the concept with the
Manhattan gmat books and did sets of questions with the
OG questions and forum questions , every time topic by topic, sub-area by sub-area with questions of all type and difficulty ( PS ; DS ; sub 600 ; 600-700 ; 700 level questions). I timed myself, worked on my
error log every week and re-did sets on a specific topic if my accuracy wasn't above 80 %.
I worked more than 2h every day and 4h during the week end.
The only "bad" thing I did was stop working on my quant skill for two weeks as I started working on the verbal part...
Thank you very much in advance for your reply
