Marshall (USC) Class of 2017 Calling all applicants!

Hi guys, I am in for Marshall from Round 1 and I have confirmed my attendance by putting down the deposit.

As an international student, what should I do now?

I have quite a number of issues to tackle, Visa, housing, registration... Will the school send me any information of how to move forward? Or where should I start searching?

its been 3 weeks i submitted my app and i have heard nada!

having the same problem! submitted my app for round 2 but haven't heard anything yet. Kelley and Tepper reached out a few weeks ago to interview, so I'm confused why USC hasn't reached out... Kelley and Tepper are ranked higher! so worried!

I wouldn't be too worried at this point. Looking at timing for round 1, people on the forum got their interview invitations around November 13th, which is 4 weeks after round 1 deadline of October 15th.

Seems like we're still on pace to get notifications next week. Who knows, it might be delayed further because there are typically more applicants in round 2 than round 1.

I applied in R1 on the deadline 10/15 and received my interview invite one full month later on 11/15. It was like I forgot that I was even waiting for an interview invite at all lol and then one morning it popped up in my inbox

So don't get too frazzled over it, don't psych yourself out. Just focus on preparing for the interview, and you'll be ready to go!

Just got an invite so looks like they are going out

R2 international applicant here. Got an interview invite today, 3 hrs ago. Anybody else in the same boat?

Even I received an interview invite. I am an R2 applicant from India. Will opt for skype interview as that is the only feasible option for me.
Does anyone have an idea what should be preapred for the interview? Do they ask all the usual questions or something out-of-the-box is asked?

Blah, didn't get one yet. I want to go to USC so bad. Lol.

I was just reading the USC website and saw this:

Submitting Official Transcripts

You will need to submit complete, sealed, official transcripts from all prior universities attended. These transcripts may be mailed to you first or mailed directly to the University of Southern California. In either case, the transcripts must be received by the USC Office of Graduate Admission in their original sealed envelope.

We encourage applicants to upload unofficial transcripts to the on-line application. However, while the Admissions Committee can review an application with unofficial transcripts, a final decision cannot be rendered until official transcripts have been received and evaluated.



Were we supposed to submit hardcopies of our transcript.

I had written the adcom a mail asking them to clarify this point. They said that official hard copies are only required if you get an admit.

interview invites should start going out today based on their timeline!

Reading through earlier posts in this thread, Round 1 didn't start getting theirs until November 13, which corresponds to February 13 for Round 2.
