Hey
ShubhhJain!
I would like to begin your profile evaluation with your academic background. An expected GPA of 9.5/10 is excellent which will help differentiate you from the crowd as it showcases a string of academic prowess. As far as the GMAT goes, a score of 650 is a bit on the lower end with respect to the programs you are targeting. That said, I would suggest you retake the exam in order to broaden your options and target higher-ranked schools. You should aim for a minimum GMAT score of 700, which should be sufficient for all three programmes. As for IELTS, it is an English proficiency test that can be prioritised last because schools are rather flexible in this regard.
Coming on to your practical experiences, you have a good amount of work experience encompassing leadership roles. However, you lack big brands in your work experience and you should be cognizant of the fact that you will be competing with applicants hailing from top brands such as EY, Deloitte, KPMG, etc. To overshadow this, you need to provide a compelling reason demonstrating how you have utilised these opportunities, how you have gone beyond the role and any kind of impact created, to showcase an equally competitive profile.
As for the extracurricular activities, the schools are more interested in profiles that have created an impact rather than just participation. Here you need to highlight your extracurricular fronts and achievements that would help enhance your application. So make sure to include any volunteer work or association with an NGO. Explain what you did for the college's cultural festival, including how you dealt with problems, planned events, raised funding, and so on. To further boost your profile, you can also include any certification courses you have completed to portray a growth oriented mindset.
Based on the information that you have provided, here are the schools that you can target:
For the MIM program - since most schools have a work ex bar limit of 2 years for an MIM program, french schools will be receptive to 2.5 years of work experience post graduation. That said, do drop in an email at the school to confirm your eligibility for an MIM program.
Schools under the dream category with 50% chances of acceptance: HEC, LBS, LSE, INSEAD
Competitive Category with 70% chances: ESSEC, ESCP
For the MIF program
Under Dream Category: Vanderbilt, HEC, LBS, Michigan
Under Competitive Category: USC Marshall, Essec, ESCP, FSFM, Imperial
For the Business Analytics program
Under Dream Category: MIT, UT Austin, USC Marshall, Columbia University
Under Competitive Category: Imperial College London, ESSEC, ESCP Europe
All things considered, in order to increase your chances of getting admitted to these school, you would need to ensure that you have a very strong application that highlights your strengths and overshadows your weaknesses. You need to showcase your journey, what makes you different from your peers, and how you are a great value addition to the school.
Therefore, in lieu of that, I would recommend you to check out our flagship ALL-IN-ONE service, which has helped 3500+ applicants get into their dream schools. You would also be entitled to end-to-end consulting combined with unlimited edits on your application documents. Not only this, you’d be consulted by a B-school alumnus who’d be helping you directly with your application process, right from finalising the right schools and submitting an impactful application to the school to preparing you for the interview and bagging scholarships!
