I've probably narrowed it down to about five so far - I have an general idea of what "area" I want to work in, but a lot of companies would satisfy that, so I'll likely need to do a bit more research first. I'm thinking ABB, Boeing, Amgen, Li & Fung, Sanofi. I was worried they wanted us to have a specific choice already - I was talking to one of the students and she said if you just have one or two sentences about why the company/companies you chose might be a good fit, that's really enough.
Where is everyone based out of currently? Ready for some Boston winters if we get in?
Tip from a former Boston gal - DO NOT live across the river from MIT if it can be avoided because waiting for the bus in the middle of winter there is NOT fun.
As an MIT undergrad I took the MIT provided shuttles, Saferide. It made living across the river more manageable. Although, at the time it filled up quickly. If I were to go back, I would live in Cambridge just blocks away from campus.
Can I ask if you got an interview? I've got a running post on who is being interviewed.
So you both would recommend not living in the Quincy area? What about Braintree? And what about on campus housing?
