Hi everybody,
I am currently attending the penultimate year of my bachelor in italy, I have attended Bocconi University for 1 year but for personal problems I had to move back to my origin town in Southern Italy and since I got back I started planning my future carefully in order to get everything I need for a future Msc application In International management / CEMS abroad.
I don't exclude the chance to re-apply for Bocconi again but according to the rankings there are schools which are way better .
I was looking atRSM and ESADE mainly, i don't have a clear idea of what I would like to do then but my dream would be working in some good company in UK or USA then, so my questions are:
1) Which really good universities won't look at my university name, since I know that many of them prefer people coming for Bocconi or other famouse ones in Italy.
2) Which GMAT score I need for sure.
3) If getting an intership abroad would be vital for my admission.
4) Which well- ranked universities are a good compromise of future success+ lifestyle ( for example I don't actually fancy the chance to enroll at Hec or St Gallen since they are quite isolated).
5) If you have any other precious suggestion to give according with my history .

Here is my take on your profile.
Bocconi is a great school and it is more or less comparable to RSM and ESADE as well.
You should consider where you want to work post graduation, and choose schools which have a great reputation there.
So if UK is your primary choice, target LBS, LSE, Imperial etc.
As for the specific queries:
1) Your university name won’t matter that much . Top B-Schools are well known for looking for overall profile. So university name could make for 5% of the entire applications. But 95% depends on the rest of your application and profile. Hence concentrate on strong essays and LORs that highlight your strenghts and you will have a good chance.
2) RSM and ESADE have an average GMAT score of 660+. So target that score.
3) Yes international experience will definitely give big boost to your profile. But again how you highlight your work in your applications and how it fits in your goals is what matters.
4)All the top ranked MiM B-schools have top companies recruiting in the domain of finance,marketing ,consulting etc. Also placement statistics are given on the website so you may look into that.
