My grandmother is the most remarkable person of all the persons I have ever met.

(A) My grandmother is the most remarkable person of all the persons I have ever met Incorrect

double person is redundant

(B) Of all the persons I have ever met, my grandmother is the most remarkable person Incorrect

person after remarkable is redundant

(C) Of all the persons I have ever met, the most remarkable person is my grandmother Incorrect

double person is redundant

(D) Of all the persons I have met, the most remarkable is my grandmother Incorrect

modifier error- first clause modifies the most remarkable

(E) My grandmother, of all the persons I have ever met, is the most remarkable Correct

between B & E

picked E

I think the "ever" is redundant since we already have past perfect tense, "I have met"; Also, there is no need to repeat "person" after remarkable to maintain concision(Ellipsis). Based on all the above premise, I went with D. In D, There is no modifier error as was stated by other replies; Of all the person is being compared to "The most remarkable[Person]" Since the person is omitted , the sentence might be misinterpreted.

Option (D) implies>> Of all the persons I have met, the most remarkable[Person] is my grandmother.

The word "ever" is not included and the word "person" is not repeated, maintaining concision. Hence D is the best choice.
