Hi,
I have given gmat 2 times, and have scored V38 and V39. I scored 730 both times. Someone told me that my gmat score should be around 750 because I am an Indian and am from IT sector. I need help in improving my verbal score. I want to get above V45. I understand that it is a bit ambitious. Could anyone please help me with this?

Hi,

By all means 730 is a par score to get into the best B schools, though it is your choice to re-take, if you think you can improve to 750+. Otherwise spend your time on applications. Indian +IT engineer + male is an over represented community in B schools, and therefore people are quite suspicious about their chances.

For moving from V 39 to V 45 would be a difficult task and certainly you need to check your ESR and gauge the areas where you are lacking.

If you feel you are stuck, it may help to open your eyes to see how someone else thinks through GMAT questions so you can subconsciously compare your thought process with others.

At GMAT Pill, that's what we provide - a different perspective that often opens up new doors for mental approaches to the same questions you are answering.

Here are 2 examples:

For Verbal, we recommend solidifying your SC skills first: http://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... -questions

As you study OG, follow along our SC videos. Here's a sample: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1f_ckd ... H1HmTgctJI
