Friends, i tried to prepare for GMAT on 2014 and appeared for GMAT after 3 months of study. Got a very bad score of 600. Following was the breakup:
Q48 / V25 / AW 4.5 / IR 4
Worthless to mention, this appeared to be a nightmare and i started to believe that GMAT is not for me and left everything related to GMAT.
But after a gap of 3 years now i feel motivated again and want to appear fresh for it (this time damn seriously).
Looking back, i think followings were my faults:
1. took the first official mock test just a day before my exam date. (What should be the ideal scenario? when to appear for 1st and 2ns one?)
2. Did not enroll for any mock test series. (please suggest which one to buy, i want the marking tougher than the orginal GMAT ?)
3. Did not purchase any book and just studied with the
OG.
4. Though Quant score seems fine, but i believe it should be 49 (which book should i purchase, want the concrete answer, not links to other posts, most posts mention 2-3 book names and i got confused.)
5. AW score is too bad (which book or stuff should i follow, again want just the name of one book not many)
6. IR score is also too bad (which book or stuff should i follow, again want just the name of one book not many)
LAST and most important Verbal section seems like a poison to me. I really want to improve on that to an extent than i can gain my confidence back and i am sure i can do that.
Again, just suggest 1 or 2 books for Verbal and here i said 2 books because i think i need more material for verbal score to improve.
Please don't give many resources names, as i need to purchase them separately and cant spend much money. Also, it confuses a lot.
Experts, Please help me, i need your experience here as to conclude which resource would be best for me at my current level.
If you want i can appear for the official mock test and then get back to you as these scores were of 2014!
