Had to do webcam scan/whiteboard check during break?
Hi GMAT club,
I took my first online exam today and during the first break of the test, the instructions state to check in with your proctor when you are ready. When I checked in with my proctor, she told me that I had to the whiteboard check and the 360 room scan with the web camera again. The web camera scan took longer than necessary and cut into my exam time. This caused my timing to be off and the section to be scored much lower than I usually test.
When I told the proctor that the scan was cutting into my testing time, she said that the necessary webcam scan was clearly stated in the instructions. However, during the second break, the necessary webcam scan and whiteboard check were not on the break instructions page and we proceeded to repeat the process.
If I had known the scan was part of the break, then I would have factored in the time necessary.
Did you have to do a whiteboard scan and another webcam scan after your break? Wondering if this is standard procedure or if my proctor was overzealous.
