yeah, and i dont know how long it took to sign in to the GMAT before this all changed, but when i took it earlier this month, it took a few minutes to sign in at the front desk.. and then after that once you got to the actual testing room, they had to do the vein scan thing again. so if you take one of the optional breaks, make sure to take this into account too.

The quoted article mentions "The GMAT admission process also requires you to sign a digital signature pad."

What is this exactly? If the signature of my name is not consistent, should I practice signing my name before the test so I don't get falsely flagged for having a bad signature?

They'll ask you to sign on a pad that will capture whatever is written on it (like a drawing tablet). I'm guessing that you've developed a stable signature by now, so there's no need to get practice it again just for the GMAT. I remember signing just once, and that was it. They never asked for another signature.
