Hello Guys, I took the GMAT Focus Online and I got a good score. Two weeks later, I received an email from GMAC Test Security accusing me of using a mobile phone, and they cancelled my score. I submitted an appeal, and now I am waiting for their decision. I swear I did not use any phone during the exam. The proctor asked me to place my phone on the sofa behind me, and I followed that instruction exactly. So I really don’t understand why this happened.
In my appeal, I provided several pieces of evidence that demonstrate my seriousness and compliance:
1- My official GMAT practice test score, completed on their platform shortly before the exam, is almost identical to my real score. This demonstrates consistent and genuine performance.
2- The proctor confirmed that my environment was compliant.
During the room scan, the proctor specifically instructed me to place my phone on the sofa, away from my desk and in clear view.
I followed this instruction exactly and never touched or approached the phone for the rest of the exam. No warnings of any kind were issued.
3- I completed paid GMAT preparation courses (Udemy) as part of a long-term and structured preparation.
4- the only Respondus log file available locally after my session.
It shows a normal start-up with no errors or alerts. I understand that the complete security and device logs are stored server-side by Respondus, and I kindly request that those be reviewed as part of this appeal.
Do u think my score will be restored ?
Whatever they have asked we did all the stuff like sharing location computer logs,out phone photos
In my case its just she was guiding me initially and showing me how to start screen sharing in mac and while error was coming upon her guidance i complaint to ticket live on mba.com
No one came i asked her to allow me for new laptop then i went outside did chatgpt how to resolve the issue solved my myself
So initially it was only testing irregularities upon appeal they asked proofs we gave then still T
