Thank you. Maybe you know whether worth it to buy sixth or seventh edition Manhattan prep bundle?

I've suggested Manhattan-Prep's 6th Edition for SC and CR to student's I've tutored.
Thank you. Are there a big difference between 6th and 7th edition of Manhattan’s books?

Hi AlexProk,

Since it sounds like you're just beginning your studies, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can access 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have that Score, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.

I'd like to know a bit more about your timeline and goals:
1) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Regarding prep courses, in addition to seeking advice in this thread, take a look at the GMAT Club reviews for the best quant and verbal courses, and also read through some GMAT success stories to see what materials have worked well for other test-takers.

You also may find it helpful to read this article about how to score a 700+ on the GMAT.

Good luck!

Hi Rich, thank you for the advice.

I am going through a study plan at MBA.com right now and planning to start with Manhattan's prep books (6-th edition). I would like to familiarize myself with all the concepts first and then take practice exam #1. I am 33 years old and all knowledge from a school program is a little bit rusty + I am also not an English native speaker.

In regards to your questions:
1) I am planning to take the test somewhere in September, but it all depends on my personal situation and preparation. I can afford to spend more time but trying to be focused during 3-4 months max.

2) Once I get GMAT results then I will apply right away. My GPA is almost 4.0 (going through diploma evaluation to have GPA calculated officially). The business school choice is fully dependent on GMAT score, but to name a few are McCombs (Austin, Texas), Haskayne (Calgary, Canada), and if I receive more than 720 all TOP 10 primarily with specializing in tech.
