I believe it comes down to other preferences and fit. I think you must arrange with your wife about this move because money it could be a burden in long run and in same time she must spend happy 2 years during your program.

Regardless of the money, I would like to assure that both programs are perfect in supply chain. It comes to Broad is better in supply chain field with the most the biggest supply chain staff. You are winner in any case. You will find almost same recruiters in both.

I wish you can take the decision soon.

Good luck

Just recently came off the waitlist at Ohio after committing to Broad months ago, and am having a really tough time making a decision so I'd love some input here.

I am pursuing general supply chain/ops positions(consulting second), and osu is going to cost about 80k more after financial aid is considered, so if I was single....no brainer that I'd go to Mich.

But I am not, and the opportunities for my wife are much better in columbus than they would be in lansing. Columbus I can see myself living in after the program, more so than I could see living in Detroit.

Am I crazy to pass up the money for a marginally better program/worse supply chain reputation for the opportunities in the Columbus area?

I'm actually on a wailist as well; just wondering what you did to get off?

I had the same "problem" last year and I came to Rotman because it would be easier for my wife (Canada x US in my case). If I was single, I would be at Fisher for sure!

Thinking about the two schools, I really liked Fisher! The environment is great, very supportive, big brand and OSU is investing a lot into the program. Last week I read an article at P&Q that showed that they are investing in their career center a lot which is important for every candidate. Besides, Columbus is amazing and I believe you and your wife would enjoy living there.

Regarding Supply Chain (also my field), I believe that Michigan is a little better but professor Zinn is a great asset that Fisher has, so I do believe that this gap will decrease in the next few years. I don't see how you can go wrong in this case.

In your case, I would choose Fisher. The 80K is hard but you can take care of it later.

Let us know what you decided!
