True - even I didn't expect this.

However, their mail suggests that they have had huge amount of applications which I believe is holding true for every other school (got to know during my Kelley and Rotman Interview too) and thus this process of sending out rejects much in advance

Thanks. I think they are doing the right thing. If the school is going to reject me ultimately, I would prefer to get to know about this now rather than after a torturous wait of two months.

Lot of R3ers have not yet received the interview invites, while some of the R3ers already received dings. Next status change for you would be "under review". And a lot of us from R3 are having that status for weeks. I am guessing some R3ers and few very good R4ers might get invites soon.

Hi,

R2 applicant here.... Olin generally sends out invites weeks after the application has been submitted. I had submitted my application somewhere in november but recieved interview invite on 4 january 2014... so wait for atleast 6 weeks.

Anyone who is interviewing is actually part of admission committee and hence is an adcome so as to say even if its a second year student. Having said that - for some indian applicants an indian second year student has been conducting interviews this year..
