Does anyone have any idea of when we can start seeing the next wave of acceptances off the waitlist? Admits from Round 2 have until April 29th to send in their deposits and intention to enroll, figure that is a key date to work around

They said they won't even look at WL until 8th May as they wait for the updates to come in, from what I remember from the Waitlist Chat. But given the April 29th deadline, I'd still want to send my updates by that date.

Is it possible to switch from FT to PT while you're on the waitlist?
I remember checking a box in the application whether I wanted to be considered for PT program.

Email them and ask. There is still another round open for EWMBA and the ad coms are pretty understanding. I have gotten responses in 3-24 hours to emails.

I just got an acceptance call!

I missed the first call and I almost deleted the voice message thinking it was a scam. The voicemail transcript said something about brakes instead of Berkeley.
I'm glad I listened to the message.

I was so happy I was shaking and crying the moment I heard the voice message about the call back.

Thank you!

There should be a deadline on your waitlist letter. Mine was by May 8th.
I almost gave up because I felt so hopeless.
Sent it on May 2nd, and I'm glad I sent one.

I sent in updates on projects I mentioned in my application.
There wasn't a huge change in job responsibility, so I focused on the progress incorporating Haas values.
I briefly mentioned what I've been doing for self-improvement during the Covid crisis and reaffirmed continued engagement in my extracurricular activities.

Ad com reads and remembers your application.
The guy I talked to mentioned some details on my essay and update letter.

Congratulations, man! Happy to hear that the WL is fluid.
Question- What do you mean by "there should be a deadline on your WL letter?" mine is a generic one that you will be informed of the result in the next round date, June 5th.
Was your letter different than the others?

Thanks!

Got in off the waitlist two days ago on 5/14/2020. Super excited to get an acceptance off the WL, but I already have an offer from Wharton and I have paid my $2k deposit.

I have the GI Bill so Haas would be completely free with a bigger housing stipend (3243 vs 2049) but housing is more expensive in silicon valley so that's expected. Wharton is around $15k of tuition/fees per year that is not covered. I think the overall long term benefit of the Wharton network is worth the difference.

I stayed on the WL because of the hope of getting into the dual MBA/MEng program but only got into the MBA program.

Wharton sends students all over the place (with a peak in the northeast at 40-45% (typically) ... but they also place 20-25% in the west, and 5-10% in each of the other major regions (mid-atlantic, midwest, south and southwest).

Approximately 70-75% of each graduating class from Haas will take jobs in California. So, if you want to work in CA, great ... if you want to work somewhere else, look somewhere else. None of the other regions get much more than 5-6% in any year. Frankly, Haas' profile is that of a very high performing regional school ... and Wharton, on the other hand, is a global powerhouse ... fwiw ...
