Computers are a boon to our life. Technology has improved to an unbelievable extent these days thanks to computers. Computers have gradually improved over a long time. The computers that were first discovered were very big, had floppy drive, PCU and key boards. Even before key boards were introduced binary fission was used to type in alphabets. As time progressed, the evolution of computer was very interesting from a very big desktop to a slim laptop and I pad.
Computers have not complicated people's lives. I think they have helped us to advance in life. Because of internet use through computers, we are able to conduct online classrooms, online chats with team members, online meeting, official presentations, face time, instant photo and video sharing, sending e mails and doing CGX works for movies. Movie industry have gone a long way after the invention of computers. We have a lot of movies with graphics and motion capture, only because of advancement in computers.
Computers have brought the world closer. We can contact with our family and friends, even if we are far off from them. In olden days if we live in foreign countries, communication was very tough, people had to call a calling agency wait for one to two days for an international call to be placed and it was very expensive. But these days thanks to computers and internet, we have skype, face time and many international calling facilities and we feel close to our family and friends. This is a major advancement in people's lives.
Computers are offered for free by Government for qualified poor meritorious students when they enter college. This shows the advantage and need for computers. They aid school and college students in their educational projects in research project by finding out information about the research in internet, easily contacting the staff, preparing presentations with MS word, power point, online classes and online discussion board using black board. These days online college courses have become very popular only because of internet and computers. Online courses are very convenient for working part time students, mothers who have to take care of their kids and at the same time take a course online. Only because of the internet these advancements are possible. So they can never be considered as a complication in life.
I accept that their are few disadvantages with computers. But for that matter, any thing will have its own advantage and disadvantage. There are a lot of disadvantages with the use of computers like internet chat bullying, kids getting exposed to a lot of mature contents and addiction to electronic devices like computers and not spending time with family and friends. But life works on the principle of relativity when we compare the risk vs benefits of computers, the benefits are more. So computers have not complicated people's lives. Instead they have helped in advancement in technology.
