Q: What is your approach to problem-solving and how does it work for you? Use specific details to support your response
Problems can be of any kind. They can be related to friends, career or your own. I approach these problems with patience, talking, and fighting.
Friends cannot go without fighting. It is true not only for friends but for people also. I deal with this problem with patience. Once I was having a conflict with my old friend. He was very angry on me. I realized talking will worsen the arguments. So, I decided to give him some time to cool down. And, then I talked to him. To my surprise, this worked.
Another approach is discussion. If I have any problem regarding career decision or studies then I simply prefer to discuss them with my teachers or experts. Same thing applies with real life scenario. If you are facing any obstacles in daily life, talk to your elders. For once, I was getting harassed by my superior colleague. I was very depressed and clueless of what to do. My father helped me in that situation and advised me to report this matter to senior authority. Just talking to him solved my problem.
Sometimes when patience and discussion not work, I use fighting method. Everybody has weaknesses. Nonetheless in that case, they have to help themselves. Nobody can help you to fight the demons that are inside you. When I was a kid, I was very afraid of sleeping alone. My parents talked to about this. I tried to have patience that one day I can sleep alone in dark. When none of these worked, I decided to fight my own fear. I tried each and every thing that I could. Eventually, I succeeded. Now this fear is not a part of me anymore.
Everyone has his own strategy of dealing with problem. But for me, giving the problem some space, talking with concerned person and fighting are the best method. Normally, situation decides with one will work better but even if they not, I will definitely find another tactic of removing problem from my life.
