Hey
satvik1997,
Well, Bocconi and Essec are quite competitive in nature and I wouldn’t blame you for being confused between the two. Both these schools bag a place in the top 15 schools offering MFin around the globe.
Coming to your profile, it may face a bit of competitive disadvantage due to the lack of experience in the field- not a deal-breaker, but make sure you highlight your strengths and camouflage your weaknesses in a judicious manner.
A 740 is a pretty strong GMAT score. I would say, don’t undersell it. GMAT is an important
part of the process, easily accounting for 20–25% of the final consideration
for most schools, you have to make sure that you present an overall strong and
holistic profile.
You have hardly mentioned any major profile evaluating pointers, so I cannot comment on the same. It would be great if you take up a free profile evaluation and provide me with those details? Would be able to help you out better than - Here's the link:

As for the final verdict, I would say that ESSEC and Bocconi both are great brands. You need to make a choice on the basis of what are your expectations from the curriculum.
ESSEC has a flexible curriculum and gives you an opportunity to personalize your program.
Bocconi has an internship included in the curriclum so you get an opportunity to network. This will also help bridge the gap between you and your financial career since practical experience is most sought after within this field.
Apart from this, just make sure that you ace every part of the application (essays, GMAT,
LOR, resume) to get noticed.
I hope this helped, good luck!
