Q. Is x=y ? 1) ax=ay 2) a^x=a^2y
1) ax-ay=0 a(x-y)=0.
Either x=y or a=0. INS
2) a can be 1 or 0 x or y can be anything or a is equal to 2 and y=1/2x
3) Since a can be 0 still, we cannot eliminate further

10. A project is budgeted for 1200 hours and will last 4 weeks. A labor covered 30% of the workload in the first two weeks and then covered 60% for the final two weeks. If a labor normally works 50 hours per week, how many total hours will the labor cover?

A. 220
B. 540
C. 360
D. 180
Can you try this one out?

Ans = 12
Each week 800h work has to be done
First week tech does 200h = 5 techs
2nd week tech does 480h = 12 techs
3rd week also 12

So we need atleast 12 techs

2400 hours of work total.

1st week 25% of 2400 = 600 hours done.

Each worker works at the rate of 40 hours. So, 600/40 = 15 workers needed for first week.

2nd and 3rd week 60% of 2400 = 1440 hours done.

Each worker works at 40 hours per week, so for 2 weeks = 80 hours.

So, for 2nd and 3rd week, 1440/80 = 18 workers.

Total 15 + 18 = 33 workers are needed.

Is the answer 33?

The labor can only work for 200 hours max. So he will have worked for 90%*200 = 180 hours in total.

Option D.
