Hi
AsifMA,
Thanks for your post
First, I would like to say that a 710 in your GMAT is a decent score for Cornell (but for yale and MIT, you need more) but what’s more interesting for me is that you have 12 years of experience! Now, since you have such a long work tenure, I would like you to align your work experience with the school's values. In your case, your Professional accomplishments, Leadership abilities, and work intellect would be preferred over your academic credentials. Moreover, since you have international experience, you must share vital points regarding your experience in international trade. You already have an MBA, it would be crucial for the adCom to understand why you think a second MBA is required and what skill-set you expect to develop through your second MBA to help you reach new heights in your career.
Also, it would be great to add some hobbies, ECAs, professional accolades, volunteering experience, and most importantly, your post-MBA goals to make your profile more robust, especially as you belong to the financial sector; quantizing your projects and achievement would definitely boost your candidature!
MIT, Cornell, and Yale all three of them look for thoughtful leaders with exceptional intellectual abilities and the drive and determination to put their stamp on the world. Now it's up to you to demonstrate Characteristics that ensure that you will make the most of the incredible opportunities at the B-School. In addition, you would need to make sure that your essays are unique & well written, try to align your profile with the school values, and draft examples accordingly also since a lot depends on your interview process, I would advise you to prepare well for your interview.
I would like to know more about your profile to assess your chances better. If you’d like, we are happy to hop on a call with you sometime this week to discuss your profile in length and further chances to the b-schools. Feel free to
book a free session with us as per your convenience.
Cheers!
