abmba1 - Your GPA, Duke pedigree, work-ex and extracurriculars present strong angles. GMAT score is on the lower side though - any scope to improve here e.g. did you score higher in mocks?

It'd also be crucial to have a strong narrative covering your experiences, career goals, and how the MBA helps bridge gaps at this juncture.

Feel free to reach out for a deeper discussion.

Regards,
Arvind

Hi abmba1,

You have a well-rounded and credible profile for top European MBA programs such as London Business School, HEC Paris, and INSEAD.

Your academic record is solid, an engineering degree with a strong GPA and a master’s from a U.S. university. Your GMAT Focus score (595) is below the typical median at these schools, but your strong quantitative background (BTech + MS in Business Analytics + data-heavy work) will help mitigate that to an extent. Seven years of work experience, including international exposure, promotions, and technical-to-analytics progression, is a strength.

Leadership and extracurriculars (club founding, Pride leadership, hackathon win) further strengthen your profile.Your profile can still keep you in the running, particularly if your essays clearly articulate leadership, impact, and international goals.

Bottom line: Strong execution in essays and recommendations will be key to balancing that.

If you would like to strengthen your positioning and application strategy, I recommend scheduling a free consultation to develop a targeted plan for these programs.
