The company is a small sized technology enterprise specialized in perimeter security. We are responsible for all the sales in the North region of Brazil and our focus is on large perimeters.
Our annual net revenue is 3 million BRL.
- Today I manage a team of 5 people and I'm responsible for the maintenance planning and supervision.

Long term goal: Have my own start up.
Other activities and volunteer experiences:
Math tutor for adults (1 year)
Crossfit athlete.

I would like to know which schools would accept me. I know I'm not suitable for the top 25, but I still wish I could get in a good B-school. Should I retake my GMAT for a stronger result? What should I do to be a stronger applicant?
I would also like to know what are the strong and weak points of my profile.
Thank you.
Hello there!
Great to hear from you.
so first of all, why do you think you aren't good for top 25?? Let's see.
so the good stuff:
- You are female and Brazilian
- You have entrepreneurial experience
- You have management experience
- you have a very good GMAT and TOEFL
- intentional work experience
the challenges:
- family business is a bit small
- GPA is not so hot.
- work experience is strange... we'd have to dig in here, but basically: family business is good as is your internship. But blog writer? it's hard to make that professional. unless you area really making a lot of money and have tons of followers. Math tutor is also neither a fulltime nor a strong job.
So basically your main weakness is your STORY - and your lack of professional work experience. Normally a family business experience esp. w management can be great, but that taking into conjunction with your lack of other experience could look a bit "fishy". its hard from here to get a sense of what you have REALLY done, and how strong it is or not... but a lot of this is influencable by the stories you will write
I should also add that your goals are not going to help. "Have my own start up" is like saying "I have no clue what I want to do", To define good career goals they need to be precise and ambitious!
