1. Apply in early round / round 1 with current score. If yes, Could you please help me with possible range of schools where I stand a good chance of selection?
A: Take a look at UT Austin (McCombs), Rice (Jones), Duke (Fuqua), and Carnegie Mellon (Tepper) to get you started. Duke might be a stretch but a 690 is still a pretty good score and won't necessarily rule you out.
2. Prepare for GMAT again through September 2022 and apply in round 2 (December 22/January 23) with a potentially better score. If yes, is there a good chance to get scholarship?
A: This seems like the better strategy. R1 vs. R2 makes no real difference. You can also simultaneously prepare some of your applications while you are studying for the GMAT so you're not too far behind. Even if you did them sequentially, you would be in a good position to apply in R2 starting in September.
