Hi there!

can you please evaluate my profile??

GMAT- dismal 620 (qa 48, va-27 :( )
Indian Female Non Engineer (Commerce graduate )
10th- 84
12th- 89
graduation cgp: 3.3

Currently working as a data analyst in an analytics company (3 years work-ex)

Colleges applied to : Singapore management university, ISB, Michigan Ross school of business, University of California, Booth Chicago.

what are my chances (if any) of converting these colleges? Also, should I go for a retake?

Hey there,
Good to hear from you although I dont have good news. Without a 720 at least you will likely have close to no chances to get accepted at the above schools, which all have GMAT scores about 100 points higher than your current score. And things are even tougher for Indian candidates....

So my advice: Take it easy, work on the GMAT, and plan an application for next year.

And here's an article on retaking the GMAT which you might find useful:

Hey!!

Took the GMAT again yesterday and got a 700. I don't think I have it in me to retake the exam again :(. I am a non engineer (Commerce background) female working as a data analyst for the past two years and have been in one of the leading private sector banks before this for a year (operations). I have a total of 3.5 years of work ex.

I am primarily looking at ISB since I'd prefer being in India. Could you please suggest what are my odds of getting there and how do I work on the essays and CV to make good the low GMAT score? I'm looking for some assistance for this phase. Also, what are my chances of getting into ROSS Michigan, Notre Dame and NUS Singapore?

Looking forward to hearing from you :)

Regards,
Koyal

Koyal,
Well a 700 is pretty good :)
ISB should be possible, I think Ross would be a bit of a stretch, Notre Dame is competitive and NUS too.
So go for it! :)

Best,
Jon

Hello All,

I am planning to apply for MS-Finance course for Fall-2017 (US)
Can you please evaluate my profile.
I am an international student from India. Finished my Engineering Graduate degree in 2010, followed by PGDM in Rural Management from a premier institute in India. I have 3 years exhaustive working experience with Government (central & state-World Bank Project), NGO and non-profit organization in India. Over these years I have been working very closely with Microfinance industry, serving the masses at the bottom of the pyramid .These experiences (which included months of field work, interaction/negotiations with the government and private stakeholders) provided me a very strong push towards my already existing interest in Finance and risk management from my PGDM days.
Profile Detail:
GRE- 307
TOEFL-110
ENGINEERING %-71% ( graduated top of the class, with honors)
PGDM-RM Grade- B
Work ex-3yrs; 2 yrs with World Bank funded flagship project by Government of India, as Block Project Manager; 1 yr with Top Microfinance organization, as Manager Risk and Bank Partnership; also several previous internships at NGO/ state government and private organization.
EC: Senior Diploma holder in Music(Indian classical), painting/ coordinator technology fest at school/ college level; awarded professional awards by employees; NGO work and research papers.

I am worried about my GRE score! Especially my quant score which is 154  . I am really short of time to reappear for the test again and also prep for my application.

Target program:
1.UIUC MSF
2.JOHN Hopkins MSF
3.Uconn MS FRM
4 Texas Austin MSF
5. Simon business school MSF
6. GWU/Tulane

Is there any chance for me to get into these listed programs.
Also with my profile can I get into any better programs like WUSL/Vanderbilt/USC or any other?

It would really great if someone could give feedback..kind of lost with the whole process!
