What makes my profile unique? ::
Now this may sound a typical IT profile to you. My educational stats are X 78% , XII 69%, Degree 77%. I have worked for close to 6 years in US out of my total 9+ years experience.I have played sports all my life and I have certificates starting from grade 1st all the way till engineering. Just to mention a few: I was part of intra-university college cricket team for 3 years. I have secured bronze and silver in discuss and long jump respectively at our college meet. I have played soccer for ICSE cluster meet in X.
Apart from sports I have been active in extra curricular activities too. I helped my school in class 6th by working for Help Age India( an initiative to help the old) . I was part of the core organizing comittee which managed the cultural fest in my college for 2 years. Roughly 90+ colleges from all parts of India took part in it. In my professional life I have played Times Shield Division F cricket for my employer L&T Infotech(I dont have a certificate from them, I may have some emails ), also I have been a part cultural teams at my work We conducted friday funs / picnics and event on all national/festival holidays(I may have some emails ).
I have received professional accolades from my clients and company alike.
At present, I am working as Enterprise Architect Consultant and have work experience in Manufacturing, Banking and Finance, Taxation.
1) As you may have noted, I come from a very common pool of MBA aspirants (Engineers + IT). Given a brief peek into my profile, how do I make my profile lucrative for the adcoms. I am planning to apply for classes starting 2019.My target colleges are IIMs(A in particular), ISB,INSEAD,NUS.
2) I feel my educational grades are average. How much GMAT score will offset that, if it offsets that.
3) How important is community work, given the fact that in India the concept of community work is loosely defined.
4) Are these colleges(IIMs(A in particular), ISB,INSEAD,NUS.) a realistic goal for me or do I need to readjust my goal.
5) I have couple of years before I apply , what can I do to make my profile stand out and get that wow factor.
6) How much importance will my work experience , especially working in US count. Is 10-12 years experience too much or too less?
7) I am 31 now. Am I too old for a MBA?

Hey dude !
Very good to hear from you.
So first of all 31 is NOT too old! You're still at a very good age, and especially for Indian programs. No problem there.
Secondly, why do you have a couple of years before you apply? If you wait too long you WILL be too old. (well for regular programs anyhow). Why are you not applying this year?
The first main thing you will need is a fantastic GMAT. I know you know that, but I figured I would say it
Secondly, for the best schools a fantastic GMAT is awesome! But not enough! We need to also get a feeling for who you are and what you want.
I hope this makes sense,
Best,
Jon
