HI there, Thanks for reaching out! You're coming from the toughest demographic when it comes to b-school apps (as I'm sure you know) & it's also one that tends to have very high GMAT scores. Given that, you'll want to apply to schools where you're ~30 points above the average GMAT score (which is where your Indian male tech competition will tend to be landing) in order to be competitive. Compounding that will be the fact that you're above the average age for an MBA, which makes them start to worry that you no longer need the degree & places even more pressure on all the other parts of your application. Given all of this, INSEAD & LBS will be quite a reach for you & may not even be worth including on your list depending on your time. That INSEAD app in particular is a doozy & is going to take a lot of time away from apps to other schools where you'll be more competitive. You'll have a stronger shot at the other schools on your list.
In terms of goals, I'd recommend the commercial aviation route since it's the most unique of the options you listed here & will help you differentiate yourself. The most popular goals around Indian male technical applicants is product manager (followed by consulting and banking) but most people want to work in a tech firm. They're not going to see many applicants with an interest in aviation and that will be a way to show that you'll contribute to class mix.
If you need any other help thinking through your strategy or your story definitely reach out to us. We work with a ton of Indian male technical applicants & know what it take to stand out from the pack & overcome the challenges you face in your applications. These applications are an art form & there are definitely strategies to increase your chances. If you email Claudia at
