TIAGO P FERNANDES
Hi All,
I am confused about whether to retake gmat or not...
1 )Brazlian - Credit analytics - 30 years
2) GMAT 680
3) Toefl 102
4) Engineer from IME - Best Engineer university in Brazil
5) 4 year working in Santander Brazil + 2 year working in Fintech
6) Nice Recommendation letters and essays
7) I have a titanium prosthesis in my right femur
8) Applying to Duke, Cornell, Tuck, Berkeley and Michigan Ross.
Please help me.
Well it's a good question. The decision to retake the GMAT should really be based on the following:
1. How much higher can you get?
2. How easily can you get that?
3. How quickly?
4. Will it delay your application?
In your specific case, being 30 years old, I can understand that you are ready to go now. So my initial thought would be: If you believe you can get 20/30+ points and take the exam by Mid-October, yes retake! (especially if you only took the test once). If you think it will be really hard, then you can consider applying with your score. However if you do, I would suggest adjusting your school list, because a 680 is 30-40 points below the schools you are planning to apply. I think working at Santander and coming from Brazil will give you some advantage, but still...
Let me know your thoughts.
I hope this helps! And feel free to drop us a line for a
