Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. I think you've got a good list in terms of schools. Your GPA is on the low end for sure, but you can use the optional essay to explain the mental health issues you were facing & then addressed & that will help allay concerns. Your GMAT & CFA will help outweigh it as well.
Another challenge is the fact that your work experience is a bit choppy. Three jobs in 4 years is quite a bit of movement and could raise concerns about your performance and/or your ability to make a commitment. The adcom wants to see applicants who have demonstrated career progression (the ideal is a promotion) & have driven quantifiable impact at work (e.g. driving increases in revenue or decreases in cost, launching profitable new products, etc) & that can be difficult to achieve when you've only been in a job for a year or less. You'll want to be sure to show as many accomplishments as possible & you'll definitely need a strong story about why you've moved so frequently.
Finally, you'll need to be ready to tell a strong story about your post-MBA goals. Consulting is a very common goal, which doesn't mean you shouldn't pursue that path, but it does mean you'll have plenty of competition. You'll need a strong story about why consulting is the best fit for you & about the unique impact you plan to have in your career. The adcom doesn't just want applicants who are go on to have a job. They want applicants who are going to make meaningful impact and they want to see your specific vision for doing so.
If you need any help thinking through your strategy or your story definitely reach out to us. If you email Claudia at
claudia@admissionado.com she can set you up with a free consultation with one of our MBA consultants who can take a look at your resume & give you some more specific thoughts!
