nevergiveuponme
Hi,
I am from an overly represented pool. (Read INDIAN) But I am from a Commerce-Entrepreneurship background. Although not a multi-million dollar business.(But my BRAND has regional popularity in the FMCG Category). I am super excited and inspired by businesses all around me and even buy my daily needs after analysing its packaging, aesthetics etc(The Crazy Me)
Is it true that most of the Ad Coms just scan the GMAT for all Indian Applicants before even looking inside to their stories?
I have a 680 GMAT and want to apply to Top Business Schools in Europe and 5-15 in USA.
Brand and Alumni Network are really important to me, along with a collaborative culture, which supports optimistic global business ideas.
Even if i bring a little diversity , as compared to the typical IT-INDIAN MALE Profile, will my GMAT still be the ONLY CRITERIA before they even have a look at my essays and vision?
Regards,
N.G.
I am also Indian same like you, I have applied to few school this season i will share my opinion.
GMAT score plays a major role in admission process. how it really works is
Low GMAT Score say below 650 , whatever your profile is only remote chance is there to get selected.
Medium GMAT score say 650-700, they will look into your profile and find some distinctive features such as studying in IIT, worked in McKinsey or Deloitte or passed CPA exam. for a average profile person getting admitted is tough.
High GMAT score say above 700 - if we have a decent profile , which means at least 4 yrs good ex , decent extra curricular you can make in, but low profile such a 1 yr or 2 yr work ex not possible
