HI,
So I prepared for GMAT 4 months back, gave a few CATs, but never appeared for the exam. I scored 640, 660, 710 in consecutive CATs. Now I want to restrat my GMAt preparation and get done with the exam. As I am planning to apply for 2018, I need advice on: From whree should I start my preparation, what all CATs should I give before taking the exam date, and after how much time should I take the exam date.

Hi Neha,
If it's been several months since you were in 'study mode', we should start by getting a sense of your current GMAT skills, strengths and weaknesses. As such, I strongly recommend that you take a NEW CAT and take it in a realistic fashion (take the FULL CAT - with the Essay and IR sections, take it away from your home, at the same time of day as when you'll take the Official GMAT, etc.). Once you have that score, you should report back here and we can discuss how best to proceed.
1) What is your goal score?
2) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

You can surely hit at least 49 or above just like 90% of our students as long as you follow our study guide properly.
Since we are specialised in quant only, we can give you advice on quant.
Please note that mock tests scores tend to be higher or sometime lower than actual GMAT score depending on providers, so we don't recommend solely relying on mock test scores.
We are glad to hear that you would like to restart and plan to take an exam in 2018, which means you have tons of time to fully prepare yourself. We are not sure about your specific quant score though we strongly recommend going over from basics as you have a plenty of time even if you think you already have basic skills. In GMAT, you need to get all the first basic questions correct, in order to encounter advanced questions, which lead you to hit 49-51. That's why it is very critical to have strong basic math skills.
At the same time, we wouldn't recommend focusing on CATs. Rather, we strongly recommend customizing your study what it actually takes to tackle GMAT Math questions. In fact, GMAT is a logic test, not general math test. Hence, you need to learn the logic to hit a high score in GMAT which you can learn from our course and the conventional method to solve GMAT questions takes very long to improve. With the conventional method, it is extremely difficult to hit a high score in GMAT Math no matter how long and hard you have been studying quant. Hence, you should learn 'logic' to solve GMAT math.

With our unique approaches, you can solve any questions that normally take 4 minutes in 1 minute and 30 seconds, and 2-minute question in 30 seconds.
