Hi Pratik,

If you really haven't studied at all over the last 4 months, then it's likely that your GMAT skills have 'faded' a bit, so the first thing we need is a realistic assessment of your current skills. As such, I suggest that you take a NEW CAT this weekend and make sure to make it as realistic as possible (so take the FULL CAT - with the Essay and IR sections, take it away from your home, at the same time of day as when you think you'll take the Official GMAT, etc.).

1) How did you score on these 2 Official GMATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for each)?
2) How many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
4) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Gave a princeton mock today. I scored 670.(M-46, V-35). I am going to ensure that I get more in Maths in next mock. Math section has never been problematic for me.

1. For Outlook I scored 620 in first and 640 in second attempt. The verbal was killing my scores, I scored 30 both the times.
2. I can give 25 hours a week for May month.
3. I will start applying for B-schools August onwards.
4. I am mainly targeting IIMs, India

Hi Pratik,

GMAC has publicly stated that the Official Score that you earn on Test Day is within +/- 30 points of actual ability. While I'm concerned about the accuracy of this recent CAT, if we assume that it's relatively accurate, then these three score results show that you essentially performed the same each time (around 640, +/- a few points). To hit your score goal, you will likely need at least another 2 months of consistent, guided study - so a June Test Date might not be realistic.

1) What study materials do you currently have? Are these the same materials that you used before?

Hi Rich,

Yes I agree with your assessment. I am at same level as before. But I am positive that I can cross the 700 barrier in a month.
I am not using same study material as before. I have collected materials available on gmat Club forum. Also using collecting some materials from my friend who has joined some coaching for GMAT.
