Hi karimelchami,
As I’m sure you know, 3 weeks is not a ton of time to study for the GMAT. However, if you really push yourself over those 3 weeks and study “smart,” it’s possible that you can improve your GMAT score in that amount of time.
I see you took 6
MGMAT cats between 9/8 and 9/27; did you take any official MBA.com practice exams as well?
Since your latest score shows that you still have some gaps in your GMAT knowledge, you may consider a regimen of focused review and practice over the next 3 weeks; thus, you need to find and fix your weaknesses. For instance, when reviewing percents, start by reviewing your notes/flashcards on percents to ensure that you are up to speed with that topic. Following your review, practice a significant number of percent questions that cover the various concepts from that topic: percent less than, percent greater than, variable percents, percent profit, percent change, etc. Once complete, analyze your mistakes and figure out remedies for them.
Follow a similar routine for verbal; practice one section at a time: reading comprehension, sentence correction, or critical reasoning. For example, when practicing critical reasoning be sure to practice all concepts from that section: strengthen and weaken the conclusion, resolve the paradox, find the conclusion, must be true, etc. As above, once complete, analyze your mistakes and figure out remedies for them.
If you would like some further quant practice, I also welcome you to take my free
37-question quant diagnostic. When selecting the diagnostic test, be sure to take the “average” test, since that diagnostic best corresponds to your score goal. After completing the diagnostic, you’ll be provided with a detailed analysis of your proficiency level on all GMAT quant topics as well as an opportunity to discuss your diagnostic results and GMAT plan with me or another
TTP instructor/coach.
Finally, once you feel you have improved your quant and verbal weaknesses, resume taking practice exams. After each practice exam analyze your wrong answers to determine remaining weaknesses and spend some time fixing those issues. Unless you have already exhausted them, take practice exams from MBA.com. When taking those exams be sure to emulate the test day experience as much as possible: take the test in a quiet environment, only take the allotted breaks, complete all the sections.
Feel free to send an update during next 3 weeks to let us know how things are coming along.
Good luck!
