Hey, guys, i have recently taken a mock GMAT prep Exam1 got 660 (Q50, V30), I didn't focus on RC because I didn't have the habit of writing long exams so was little impatient. In CR I got 10/11 correct, RC 7/13, SC 9/17.

So I have the following resources.

Manhattan strategy guide(set) + MCAT(6 tests).
SC Grail.
Veritas Prep Set.
OG 17, OG Verbal 17, OG Quant 17.
GMAT prep Exam2.
GMAT prep 2 more exams( i think they will be released on July 30th).

Along with this, I am planning to subscribe to E-GMAT online course(Quant + Verbal).
I am planning to give the Exam in November so I have around 4 months to prep. My goal score is 760+.

My plan is as follows I will use the Manhattan(SC, RC, CR) and Veritas(RC, CR) and SC Grail to prep on my own for a month while solving problems from OG.
After this, i will start with E-Gmat course and try to do it within 45 days. And after this, I am planning to do the GMAT club tests that come with E-GMAT and then do all the resources found in this wonderful club.
So I was wondering is this the best way to strike at GMAT. Also, i had a doubt which (Veritas or Manhattan) were good for Quant?

Hi DIII,

For your preparation, You need to build the concepts/fundamentals before you jump in solving the problems. You can do so by choosing one of the following ways:
1. In person classes/private tutoring
2. Online classes
3. Self paced online preparatory course
4. Book heavy approach

Since you have already tried the book heavy approach, I would recommend you to opt for an online course or a private tutor. Because GMAT tests you on some concepts and fundamentals that you can learn from a course. Most of the preparatory companies including ours offer a free trial of our course. In addition to the preparatory material, buy the Official Guides(both the Official Guide and the Verbal Review), Question Pack 1 and the 4 official mock CATs. They should be an indispensable part of your preparation.

You need close to 3 months to prepare well for the GMAT.
1. Understand the concepts and fundamentals before jumping into problem solving
2. Make sure you solve the official questions from the Official Guide

In addition, try to drill down deep on each problem type:

SC: The questions test various concepts such as S-V agreement, modifiers, parallelism etc. Find out what troubles you.
CR: There might be certain types of questions that are troubling you. May be Assumption, may be conclusion, inference etc.
You need to find that out and then practice them
RC: This again can be drilled down into different types of questions and also different topics. See what questions and topics trouble you the most and then practice accordingly.
Quants: Again try to break the questions in topics such as Algebra, Number system (very important), Geometry, PnC etc.

Also, start preparing an error log and keep a note of all the mistakes you made and the lessons you learnt from the problems. This will ensure you do not make the same mistake again.
