Hi all,
I need advice in choosing the school between the two.
About me:
Male, 30, Indian
6.5 years of experience in operations and project management in shipping and energy industries in India
Post MBA plans - operations and supply chain roles in Tech companies such as Amazon.
I have received full ride at Scheller which includes the GRA stipend. Vanderbilt has offered me $50K in scholarship which translates to ~`$85K debt for me. I am requesting for additional scholarship from Vanderbilt, any tips regarding negotiating the same are appreciated.
While l understand the similar rankings of both, any external perspective is truly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hello
IndianGuy101,
You could let Vanderbilt know you have another US top ~25 scholarship with a full ride (avoid naming the school) besides also sharing with them any improvements in your profile. Needless to say, letting them know that Owen is still your preferred choice provided you can decrease your debt is something you can communicate, as well.
Scheller is in great sync with your goals and the full-ride would just make things a whole lot comfortable. So, we would possibly pick Scheller. Further, while Owen is a fine program, its primary strength is Finance. So, that is an additional factor you may consider, as well.
Good luck!
