I'm getting killed on sentence correction questions! I do fairly well - between 60 % and 70%, but I want to improve my score w/a greater sense of certainty. Is there reference material or good advice out there for a guy like me?

Most people will answer this question by citing the usual suspects-- Wall Street Journal, The Economist, etc...
As I have done SC problems, I have consistently scored between 95-100%, despite knowing only a few rules of SWE.
My secret? I was a college Literature major, and I spent four years reading literary criticism. Unlike news stories, which are written by journalists, literary criticism is written by a bunch of highfalutin English professors with nothing better to do than try to impress their peers with perfect syntax.

The first time I read your post I couldn't help but laugh out loud! It's hard to imagine a discussion forum where people argue over correct sentence syntax!
