Hi GandRMyhology,

Based on the information in this initial post, I have some immediate questions:

1) How many times have you taken the Official GMAT so far? On what date(s) did you take the Exam and how did you score on each attempt (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for each)?
2) Have you actually scheduled your Exam for this weekend or are you planning to take your next attempt for that general time? Are you going to take the At-home version of the GMAT or are you going to a Test Center?

In addition, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) How long have you studied in total? Over the last 3 months, how many hours did you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used over the course of ALL of your studies? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi

I've studied GAMT for 6 months now and plan to take another test this weekend. My last score was 680.

My target score is 720+ but my Manhattan Prep scores are way below.

I took all six Manhattan preps and the scores range between 640 to 680 with Q 44~46 and V34~37. I also took three official prep tests and got all 740+ but many of the questions seem familiar so I feel I can't trust the result.

Should I go for the exam this weekend? or should I push the schedule because it might be a waste of the test. Any advice or experience sharing would be helpful. Thanks.

Can you take another official practice exam to see how you do?

Hi GandRMyhology,

That's a tough one, but I would take the exam if I were you. If you've been taking practice tests regularly, you may not have too many good practice tests left, so pushing your appointment back carries its own risks. That said, this is not a simple decision, and it'd be interesting to see what you eventually choose to do.
