How much exp. do u hv? r u working in Chemical industry?
When did u complete ur Rotman app? My official transcript & LORs got late, so my app got delayed.. :(
Still waiting to hear from them.

Can u pls share your interview exp. with Simon & Rotman?

I had my Simon interview on-campus on 7-Nov with an alum. Still waiting for final decision. I think Simon takes about 1-2 weeks for final decision.
Hoping for a good news next week.

Hey guys I am a R2 applicant and I just got a call that I am accepted at Simon with a 50% scholarship. I also got in at Wake Forest with a full ride. I want to do a concentration in Finance.

Can someone suggest me which is a better program for Finance. I do not mind working on the east coast or the south east. I just want to go to a school that will give me better opportunities to land a job after graduation. I am a domestic applicant. Thanks in advance.

I've been invited to interview next month (Jan, 2014).

Anyone know what percent of interviewees get offers?

Simon is a Finance powerhouse with many profs publishing in finance magazines/doing reports/research/etc. They have been finance-heavy for a long time. They are ranked #17 and #24 in Finance and Accounting whereas Wake Forrest is not quite on the map.

The only downside to Simon is the location since Columbia and Stern will make a stiff competition for Finance Jobs but it is 3 hrs from NYC and is doable for interviews/New York outings.

Thanks for your suggestion. Wake Forest also has UNC and Duke in North Carolina so its not like Wake Forest is the only good college in that region.

This is so confusing. This will probably be one of the hardest decisions i have ever made. Thanks once again.

I got Priority Candidate Notification from Simon, though I assume that they send it to all applicants.
Had a skype discussion with its Assistant Director, Admissions before submitting my application.
Even attended one webinar on a Finance topic presented by a professor.
Does someone have any idea if above mentioned points assist in some way?

I am targeting Marketing space post MBA. How does Simon perform in Marketing?

Hello Everyone

I have been admitted for the fall session of the FT MBA program at Simon. Wanted to know if any of the admitted candidates will be visiting for the scholarship weekend in February. Would really appreciate if someone can provide additional details on the same. I will be travelling from India (hopefully).

I have found Simon to be overall a good school but most reputed for Finance. How is Simon for concentrations other finance/accounting? I am looking at operations consulting..

@ GPabla

I also got the Priority Candidate Notification from Simon. I wasnt even looking to apply to Simon. I think they have recently started a new 1 yr MBA program so maybe that's why I got that email(no clue how they would know) as I am only interested in 1 yr programs.

What was the skype interview all about ? Are you targeting their flagship course ?

cheers

Thanks for the quick reply Pranav2570,

I submitted my application on 5 Jan. Can you let me know when you submitted your app.

Also, I got an email saying that all the required docs are submitted. Did you get something like that. Just wanted to assess their process.

Best Regards,
